SLOW FASHION IS MORE THAN CLOTHES
– IT’S COMMUNITY
Community Love
Hey sweet swapper!
Meet Mar, the Heart Behind The Green Coletivo
My love for swapping started in the best place possible — my sisters’ closets.
Hey, I’m Mar ~ a longtime lover of community, conscious living, and slow fashion. Having 3 sisters growing up and always closets to go into, was something I got so excited about! To wear outfits that were previously owned and loved by my sisters!
The Green Coletivo was born from that idea: To create a Circular Closet ~ a community where people come together to share clothes, good times and meaningful connections. It’s not just about what you wear ~ it’s about who you share it with.
Our events wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers and they remind us that community is at the core of everything we do.
Now more than ever, we need to shop in ways that care for our planet. And because we believe in full circularity, all theleftover clothing from our events goes to local charities, ensuring every piece gets a chance to be loved again.

We want your BEST pieces ~ men + women’s clothing!
Anything you are bored of wearing, have grown out of (physically or mentally) or items you’re just no longer in love with. Whether it's something that no longer feels like 'you' or a piece that's been sitting in your closet untouched for ages — that’s the GOOD stuff we want to have in the Swap Shop. Make sure it’s washed, in excellent and wearable condition. -
Please don’t bring anything which you wouldn’t feel comfortable to wear yourself or really you know needs to just be recycled. No stains/ broken zippers/ holes/ smelly items, or clothes that are too worn out. Also we don’t accept:
Underwear (unless new & price tags)
Socks (unless new & price tags)
Worn out shoes (no stains, holes, worn soles, or heavy scuffing)
Children’s clothing
-
We check that all items are clean, washed, free from rips, holes, broken zippers, and are still in good condition. Pieces made from natural materials like silk, linen, and cotton earn more points than those made from polyester or synthetic fabrics.
We also consider the brand — items from fast fashion labels earn fewer points than those from higher-quality or sustainable brands. -
Each item can earn between 1 and 10 points. Lower-point items typically have lower quality, are made from less natural materials, or are not in great condition.
Higher-point pieces are usually in excellent condition, made from quality materials, and come from non-fast fashion brands. -
Since circularity is one of our core values, we make sure that every clothing piece still has a purpose and will be reused. The clothes that are leftover after the event will be donated to charities that we partner with: Humana, Lisbon Project and Farol. These charities donate the clothes to families in need in their area. Making sure that every piece gets the chance to be loved again.
-
If you spend more points at the event than you've earned through your donations, you can simply purchase the additional points you need. The cost is €1 per point.
-
Leftover points can not be carried over—they’re only valid for the swap event you registered for and will expire after it ends.
-
Points are not to be shared with others, only to be used by the swapper who donated the clothes.
-
Yes it’s a free event for everyone to join, even if people didn’t donate clothes and you want to bring your sister/ mom/ boyfriend etc, they are happy to come as well. They would only need to buy their points if they want to take a preloved piece home.
